These are strange days...

A few celebrity tidbits that have me scratching my head or fuming with rage.

Good lord, why hasn't Jennifer Love Hewitt gone away yet? Ever since PO5 I have found her to be easily one of the most annoying B list stars in Hollywood. She can't act for shit and how many times do I have to hear about her boobs being real, like it's some sort of great accomplshment (don't even get me started on her attempt at a "singing" career). Anyways, pissing around on the Internet today I happened upon her new show called Ghost Whisperer. How she managed to secure the lead in anything is totally beyond me. I mean, how many movies she stars in need to fail miserably before she becomes a tinsel town pariah? Anyways, I give it 6 shows before it's pulled.

Puffy, Puff Daddy, P Diddy, now it's just Diddy? Why aren't people laughing themselves silly at this man? I mean, come on, who renames themselves like four times, and then chooses such atrocities? Diddy. It's so laughable, and yes, I know he's supposedly the hardest working man in the business, but are you shitting me?? What a fucking loser.

And lastly, I must comment on Gwen's Hollerback Girl video being up for a best music video at the VMA's. WTF? I don't get it, I mean, this song and it's acompanying video must be some sort of joke right? Millions of people can't really think she's a lyrical genius, can they? How old is she, 35? And she's singing about fecking pom poms and waving cereal around. Lordy, and I thought I had issues turning 28. Super kawai!

Gossip is the Spice of Life

God, is it bad that I am a total gossip hound? Maybe it's because I have nothing gossip worthy going on in my own life, but I lurve hearing gossip about others. Whethers it's celebrities, old highschool friends, or people I don't even know, I love it all. Speaking of gossip, I cannot wait until Sunday to get the low down on the high school reunion. Seriously, those of you attending (and you know who you are) must call me Sunday morning stat. I expect a full detailed report complete with pictures. Hah.

So in my attempt to fill my days with something other than MTV and shopping I'm going to start volunteering at an animal shelter next week. I'll be walking dogs and playing and snuggling kitties. I'm really looking forward to doing something constructive with my time. Ooh, and I even picked my guitar up last week and started practicing. So there you go, maybe all this free time isn't so bad after all. Okay, I'll shut up now.

Shopping for Jeans... need I say more?

Frig. I hate shopping for jeans. Or any pants for that matter. Why do I torture myself? I headed to Loehmanns today, which is this dirt cheap mecca of fab designer clothes. Anyways, I'm in search of a cute bra and thought, what the hell, I'll try on some jeans, I'm feeling rather thin today. Never, ever, go shopping for pants if you're having a skinny day. You will end up leaving the store having turned the wonderful rare skinny day into a hateful dumpy day and go home and eat more than your day's allotment of Nilla cookies. Ahem, as I was saying, I had an armload of cute Sevens which are rumoured to make your ass look like a million bucks. And I'm sure they do if you have no ass to begin with, and no hips as well. They might look okay on boys. I did find a nice little blue bra, but by this point was in a totally foul mood so I pretty much stormed out of there in a huff. Oh, did I mention that they have a comunal fitting room? Good times. So in summary, next time I'm having a dumpsville day I'll go pants shopping so at least I can expect the worst. Humpf.

Yay! My first post!

Hah, good thing I have nothing exciting going on in my life to write about. Well, I guess the looming 28th birthday is something that's sort of been on my mind. I don't really put much weight into age, but I keep thinking that a reasonably intelligent 28 year old (dare I say it) woman should be more than a SAHW (stay at home wife, God how I love acronyms). Not that I'm bashing women who are happy with this type of lifestyle, but gah, I'll admit I'm getting bored. Lounging at the pool all day certainly is fun, but with the departure of A&C I have no visits to look forward to anytime soon. I have so much bloody free time on my hands I don't know what to do with myself, and while I have the best of intentions to play the guitar, write a poem, or make a scrapbook, I inevitably end up watching effing shows like Date My Mom on VH1 or MTV all day. At least I haven't started watching Oprah and Dr Phil yet. Please shoot me when I do. That said, what would you do if you had all the free time in the world? I know I need to take full advantage of not working, I mean how often is this going to happen. Also, I keep wondering what I'm going to do once M is done here. Obvisouly I'll need to go back to school, the thought of rejoinging the world of software support makes me want to weep. I just don't know for what. Vet assistant? Aromatherapist? Personal shopper to the stars? The possibilties are endless, but I want to get it right this time.
